Shuangfan Rock is a reef located in Xiangshui Bay Scenic Area, Lingshui Li Autonomous County. It consists of two huge rock formations, and this sea area is famous for diving, sightseeing and sea fishing.It is one of the top diving sites in China, the diving spot is about 11 kilometers one way from the dock by boat, making it a real offshore boat diving destination. It is also widely recognized as a top-level underwater photography paradise by underwater photographers.
Visibility
The water in this sea area is crystal clear, with underwater visibility reaching up to 40 meters. It consistently ranks among the top in the country and is an ideal environment for underwater photography and sightseeing.
Underwater Resources
The seabed is home to coral gardens with a coral coverage rate of up to 65%. The diving spots are at depths ranging from 5 to 30 meters. Sardine storms are common, and thanks to the excellent ecological environment, whale sharks, which can grow up to 10 meters long and are known as the "gentle giants," can often be encountered from March to August.
Underwater Topography
It features unique underwater topography such as submarine canyons, caves, cliffs, and crevices. Detail Schedule:
08:00 Pick up from your Sanya hotel and transfer to Lingshui Xiangshui Bay dock.
09:30 Arrive at the dock, check-in, safety briefing, and get diving equipment (fins, half-face mask, BCD, wetsuit, oxygen tank, disposable mouthpiece).
10:30 Take a boat to Shuangfan Rock (about 11 km offshore, a top-tier diving site recognized as China’s "diving ceiling").
11:00 Start 30 minutes of offshore boat diving with 1-on-1 professional instructor.
12:00 Diving Highlights
Dive into crystal-clear waters with visibility up to 40 meters — a paradise for underwater photography! Explore vibrant coral gardens (65% coverage) dotted with unique underwater landscapes: canyons, caves, cliffs, and crevices. Swim alongside schools of sardines, colorful tropical fish, and if lucky (March-August), encounter the 10-meter "gentle giant" — whale sharks. 15:00 Post-Diving & Return
After diving, enjoy seasonal tropical fruits and bottled mineral water on board. Utilize free fresh water showers and changing rooms at the 15:30 Dock before departure.
