Mount Hua lies 120 km east of Xi’an in Huayin City. As China’s sacred Western Mountain among the Five Great Mountains, it earns the title “the Most Dangerous Mountain Under Heaven” for its sheer granite cliffs and narrow trails like Changkong Plank Road and Qianchi Zhuang. It has five iconic peaks: the highest South Peak, sunrise-perfect East Peak, legendary Lotus-shaped West Peak, historic North Peak and Taoist Middle Peak. A key Taoist site with ancient temples, modern cable cars (West up, North down) offer accessible access to this once forbidding natural and cultural gem.
14:30–16:00 North Peak of Mount Hua
Head to Beifeng (North Peak) Cable Car station for the 8-minute downhill ride, then take the shuttle bus back to the Tourist Center (total 30 minutes). Begin your return journey to Xi’an
